Education

Stanford University - BA, Philosophy , Columbia University in the City of New York - MPH, Public Health

Experience

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy at Stanford University, then a master's degree in Public Health at Columbia University. I have tutored students ranging from elementary school through high school, in a wide variety of subjects. I also assist students in preparing for admissions tests, particularly the SAT. Although I tutor students in Math (elementary level through Pre-Calculus), Chemistry, Biology, History, Psychology, Geography, and Social Studies, I most enjoy assisting students in building writing skills. I encourage students to assume the level of control necessary to get what they need from each session, and to view me as a resource for insight and support. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy a variety of physical activities, including running, hiking, and yoga. I also like to watch movies and spend time with my cat.
