Experience
I went to Middlebury College for my bachelor's degree in English literature. My focus was creative writing, and I also minored in studio art. As a part of the peer tutoring program in writing. I was able to help students improve their writing abilities and deliver better assignments. I also work as an editor and a writer as a freelance, and I've had the opportunity to edit admissions essays for graduate students, many of whom got into their dream schools. I've also tutored graduate students and undergraduates through long writing projects like theses and academic papers. I like to tutor any subject where writing is involved, and I get great enjoyment from helping students express their ideas succinctly, competently, and confidently. Some students have a fear of writing, so it's rewarding to help students work through these obstacles and understand their own strengths as writers. I am looking forward to help students learn writing, essay editing, literature, English grammar and syntax, public speaking, and AP English exams. When I'm not reading or writing myself, I enjoy hikes through the redwoods, exploration of the coast Northern California, and spending time with my fiancee and our rabbits.
