Experience
I'm currently a 4th year university student studying computer science and mathematics with ambitions to enter into the tech field soon after graduating. Over the past 2 years, I've worked as a peer tutor through my university offering help to other students in a wide variety of subjects across math, computer science, chemistry, and even a bit of writing though my specialty definitely comes in math. Of the subjects I tutor, I have the most comfort and experience with pre-calc, calc, and SAT/ACT MATH. My instruction has ranged across both one-on-one tutoring and group sessions from children as young as 10 to those still in college. In my sessions, I hope to demonstrate the same passion I have for learning that I do for teaching. My instruction typically takes on the form of assessing where students are weakest and working towards the goal of understanding with the given student's weaknesses in mind. In that sense, I tend to shy away from one-sided lectures and encourage a give and take methodology when working with students.
