Experience
At Berkeley, I have 6 years (and counting) of experience teaching college writing and mentoring students at different stages of their education. I was awarded a university-wide teaching award in 2015. As an instructor of English, I have much experience teaching students how to read texts closely and how to express their thoughts articulately. In addition to serving as a teaching assistant for lower- and upper-level English classes, I have designed and taught five freshman reading and composition courses. As an academic mentor, I counseled freshmen, sophomores, junior-transfers, and seniors on their academic and professional plans. Teaching students is my passion, and I am excited to use my experiences as an instructor to develop individualized lesson plans for each student I tutor.
