Experience
I am very passionate about biology, and it is fun for me to talk about it with people who are interested. I find it's many facets fascinating and I would love to help others see the beautiful intricacies of this science. I have interned at USDA working primarily with processing of vegetables. I also worked at the University and Jepsen Herbaria and Museum of Vertebrate Zoology at UC Berkeley as a curatorial assistant for some of the collections. I also worked as an Undergraduate Student Instructor (UGSI) for a class called Medical Ethnobotany; in the lab I assisted with plant identification, morphology and discussion leading. I have also worked in a bioremediation lab for about 2 years and do research on fungal bioremediation (or mycoremediation). I am also working as a reader for a class called Bioenergy, where I grade quizzes and exams.

Hobbies
Throughout my life have pursued my three great passions, plants and biology being the primary academic interest, but also music, I love all kinds but I have a special interest in classical and Scandinavian folk music. As a child, my father and I performed a lot of Swedish folk music together. My tertiary passion is for languages, I am proficient in Swedish and am learning Russian, but I have also taken classes in French, Finnish and Old Norse.
