Education
I received my BFA in Painting from San Francisco Art Institute in the Fall of 2014. Prior to this I graduated from the Orange County High School of the Arts during which time I also attended two consecutive precollege summer programs at the San Francisco Art Institute, where I would eventually become a teaching assistant and resident advisor under the same program during my years attending the arts university for my bachelors degree.
Experience
I have experience working with high school students in the arts as a summer precollege TA for a life drawing class at SFAI two summers in a row and love working with young artists and children of all ages interested in painting and drawing both realistic and abstract. I am an accomplished and skilled technical draftsman and oil painter classically trained in photorealist technique but in my own practice focus more on creative and individual expression and hyper personal ways of implementing and expanding on technique for the purpose of creating your own unique point of view as an artist. I want to be a tutor to continue my working with students of the arts during these critical years where they are really beginning to challenge themselves in what role the arts play in there lives and how they relate to themselves and the world around them through art as well as beginning to develop and understand a sense of personal style and expression. I know that I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for the mentors I had at that time in my life and it brings me great joy to continue that relationship with young artists today.

Hobbies
When I am not painting full time in my Bayview studio, I am practicing Hung Gar kung fu or tending to my bonsai collection. I love art history and am frequently reading about the great masters of the arts that came before us and also make it a point to actively participate in the current contemporary art community here in San Francisco.
