Education

Recent graduate from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and B.S. in Physics. Finished the Applied Mathematics with a concentration in numerical analysis/data analysis and a general undergraduate survey with Physics. Overall 3.55 GPA with a 3.7 major GPA for Math.

Experience

I've tutored at Berkeley's Student Learning Center (SLC) for the past two years. This facility is run under the University and offers extensive group tutoring as well as one on one interaction to students who need help in all lower division math subjects. Particularly comfortable with these courses that are taken within the first 1-2 years as an undergraduate but also familiar with upper division subjects. Can also look into statistics as I have taken a few of the core upper division classes offered at Cal. Currently have moved up into teaching two discussion sections/classrooms at the SLC for an undergraduate mathematics class for students looking into the medical field (Math 10B). Have also privately tutored on and off at the private request of various students during my years as an undergraduate at Berkeley. Definitely enjoy this area of education and the dynamic of working as a team to better understand the material at hand and ultimately solve whatever problems that may be presented regarding the material. I personally put emphasis on building a mathematical confidence so that not only will the student be equipped for the current class in question, but will have a tool kit for future classes .
