Private tutor in San Francisco, CA
The University of Tennessee - Bachelors, Microbiology, Philosophy , University of California-San Francisco - Masters, Global Health
I went to the University of Tennessee to earn my bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies, specifically philosophy and biology. After graduation, I went to the University of California - San Francisco for my masters degree in global health. I had scholarships in both cases, so I can help students with compelling admissions essays and scholarship applications. At the University of Tennessee, I was accepted into the premier scholars program, an exclusive entity that accepts only 15 students per square. As a part of this program, I partnered with low income high schools to provide volunteer tutoring. I know firsthand what it's like to struggle to learn a topic, and I've used tutors myself to help me work through my learning difficulties. For this reason, I'm empathetic with my students, and I strive to make my sessions creative and engaging. I can tutor students in a wide range of topics including algebra, philosophy, writing, ethics, biology, literature, biology, epidemiology, pre-algebra, public speaking, life sciences, and others. I'm very laid-back and easy to get along with, and I like to have fun in my sessions to keep things moving smoothly. When I have free time, I like to watch movies and play Frisbee.
