Emma N.
Private tutor in San Francisco, CA
Education
I was born and raised on Long Island, New York, and I graduated from High School there in 2012. Later that year I moved to the Bay Area to start studying Stanford University, which I will graduate from in 2016. I am a double major in Spanish and Communication. As of right now, my GPA is 3.908. I also spent a semester at a school in Chile to work on my Spanish.
Experience
Throughout High School I did a lot of tutoring for all different subjects. In college, I continue to tutor peers in writing and occasionally in Spanish. In High School, I scored 5/5 on nine AP tests (Spanish Literature, Spanish Language, Italian Language, Biology, World History, American History, US Government, English Literature and English Language). I want to be a tutor because I genuinely enjoy writing and helping people write strong arguments. I think that being able to write essays that have strong, supported theses is an incredibly important skill, and I would love to help people develop that skill.

Hobbies
Some of the things I like to do include reading op-eds, playing with other people's dogs in parks, drinking tea, and watching American Ninja Warrior. I also act in a children's theatre group called Flying Treehouse and work at one-week long camp called Camp Kesem. I danced for 14 years while I was growing up, and I still enjoy dancing and listening to music.
