Junior Business Major at San Francisco State University. In high school I took AP and Honors classes including*: Honors English (freshmen and sophomore year) AP English AP World History AP US History AP Spanish *So I am familiar with the standards placed on AP students as wells a the necessity to perform well in short about of time.
Experience
Tutoring Experience Tutoring for friends and classmates, from editing papers, test prep, to math homework. Why be a tutor? The same reason teaching is rewarding, is the same reason I want to be a tutor; seeing the light in another when you are able to communicate something effectively so they not only understand it but can apply it. I also enjoy getting to know the students and finding the most effective ways to teach them. This allows me to modify my methods by incorporating applicable examples and analogies the student can relate with and understand. This also creates a fun environment so the student would be able to actually enjoy the process as opposed to staying frustrated with a topic they don't like nor understand. I find that most of the time the problem is not that the student isn't very good at the subject but more so that it is either not challenging enough for them or not interesting enough. And so my goal becomes how I can find ways to make the subject as much fun for the student as possible. Other Experience I have extensive experience with service based jobs and customer service, including retail and restaurants, which granted me the patience and social skills necessary to become a tutor. I also have experience with at risk youths and am prepared to help each student any way I can with any problem they may have other then their school work.

Tues/Thurs after 1PM, Wednesday after 1PM, Friday after 1PM, Weekends at any time

Hobbies
Although I am majoring in Business with a concentration in Marketing and planning on going into Advertising, my true passions are psychology and writing. I would like to have the financial independence that advertising would allow before I pursue my passions, and so I plan on finishing up my bachelors at SFSU, and getting my masters in Advertising from NYU.
