Experience
I began tutoring after accidentally discovering my knack for teaching. I was visiting my sister-in-law and she was telling me how concerned she was with her daughter's grades. So I sat down with my niece and together we tackled her math homework. My niece had been diagnosed with a learning disability which made it hard for her to focus and understand the information the way it was presented in class. We worked together to identify her preferred learning style and once we did her grade improved dramatically. I loved the positive feedback and started tutoring privately as well as at my University. I have tutored HS + College chemistry, biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry. I have also tutored grade school core subjects such as Math, English and Social Science. I truly have a passion for learning, teaching and the quest for knowledge. I believe a strong education is the foundation for future success, but most of all I love watching the spark in someone's eye when a concept finally clicks. I understand there are many different types of learning styles and try to adjust my teaching methods accordingly. I've worked with all ages from toddlers to graduate students.

Hobbies
I do free yoga in GG park on Saturday mornings. =) I don't ride my bike as nearly as much as I'd like to. I sing in a band on campus, and when I'm not studying or doing clinical rotations, which is 90% of the time, you can find me sightseeing with friends around the city. Hiking is my therapy, love is my religion. I truly feel that attentive listening, compassion and acceptance can heal most hurts that people have.
