I am a passionate educator with over eight years of experience mentoring and instructing middle and high school aged students in language arts, social sciences, and the college admissions process. I have a teaching license, a Master’s degree in education, and a certificate in college consulting. I love getting to know my students and helping them achieve their short term or long term goals. I can easily adapt to different learning styles and needs to best serve each individual student and I strive to make each session fulfilling and successful. I use technology to assist students with their organization, communication, and time management skills to encourage important study habits. In addition, I believe that clear and consistent communication with the student and parents is essential to making the most of each tutoring session. As such, I make sure I am available to both parents and students by email, phone, or text when needed. I prefer to meet with students at their home or a comfortable common space such as a public library or a local coffee shop.
