I've been an educator for more than 20 years. I am greatly interested in being a tutor and/or any capacity deemed relevant in assisting students to succeed because of my longstanding commitment to advancing the skills of students in mathematics, particularly, in collaborative and cooperative learning, critical thinking, and logical analysis. I am very passionate about education and love to be part of students' success in their endeavors. I was a full time professor of mathematics at Nicholls State University in Louisiana for 23 years; I applied and was approved for early retirement from Nicholls State University effective 1/15/2015, so that I may relocate to San Francisco to be near my aging parents. During my tenure at NSU, I've tutored for more than 20 years in mathematics at all levels, ranging from elementary to graduate. I assessed students' content knowledge and learning ability and will tailor my teaching accordingly. ALL my students and their parents are very grateful and satisfied.
