My name is Elena Stuart and I am a student at CCSF. The reason why I am inspired to work as a tutor for UniversityTutor.com is because I have a great love for teaching and sharing my knowledge. I believe that it is an essential part of an individuals democratic freedom to have all the education and knowledge provided that is necessary to succeed in anything one may want to accomplish. This is especially important for children and youths. Throughout my life I have found myself always tutoring at least one and sometimes as many as eight people because I am driven by this belief. My little sister is dyslexic and I have always helped her grasp and process the given information in school and I also tutored a lot of her class mates. Besides that I volunteered to tutor a girl from Africa who didn't speak the native language and taught her both English and German. I even tutor my own classmates, room mates and my boyfriend, who is also dyslexic. I have tutored anything from languages, foreign or native, humanities and arts and letters. Moreover, I am currently employed as a AVID tutor by the San Francisco Unified School District. Tutoring has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life which is why I am striving to become a teacher. My love for challenging fast pace environments combined with my appetite for hard work, an enthusiastic style, positive attitude and my excellent communicational and interpersonal skills make me a strong candidate for your consideration. What's more I am fluent in German and Russian besides English and I understand Ukrainian, know a little French, am currently learning Japanese and Spanish. I feel very passionate about being able to help students become educated and build a better future for themselves. That is also why Education is my major. Hobbies
I have many hobbies that range from drawing or painting, to reading and even writing my own stories.I love listening to music from pop to rock and I have a thing for Latin dances. I also love martial arts. I have six years of karate under my belt and I am planing on picking up a new martial art soon. I enjoy watching sports, particularly basket ball and soccer. And I am addicted to video games and Sci-Fi shows. :)
