Experience
have been a writing tutor for several years now, mostly for high school and college students. I have a lot of experience with thesis statements, general essay writing, SAT/ACT/GRE essay writing, personal statements, proofreading theses, general proofreading, and working with students on improving their vocabulary and grammar. In terms of my writing background, I scored a 12 on my SAT essay, an 11 on the ACT essay, and a 5 on the GRE essay. I am passionate about students having a strong vocabulary, good grammar, and the ability to write an amazing thesis statement and overall essay. I do my best to provide thoughtful and critical feedback, and give 100% of my time and energy into each essay I look over, no matter how long or short. My ultimate goal is to help students become better writers - individuals who think and write critically and effectively with conviction and poise. I just finished my Master's degree in Equity and Social Justice in Education from San Francisco State University, and am working part-time as an English and writing tutor. Before I decided to pursue my Masters degree I actually was a high school history teacher and a college advisor for a small school in Northern California.
