I possess a B.A. in English and Philosophy (double major) from University of California, irvine with a 3.8 GPA. I'm in the process of completing an MA in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) at San Francisco State University.

Experience

I'm TOEFL certified and have taught and tutored English to non-native speakers both in the US and abroad. I have also worked as a writing tutor/instructor. I've taken several classes that are directly teaching-related, from pedagogical grammar to the teaching of reading and writing skills. I have worked as a grant writer, technical writer, copywriter (currently working on starting my own freelance copywriting business). I'm tutoring because, aside from the flexible hours, I actually enjoy teaching.
