I have a TEFL certificate and have tutored English abroad. I have taken several creative writing classes and have worked as a journalist. SAT scores: 1100 I'd like to be a tutor because I loved school and want to make learning fun for others. I am patient and compassionate and am great with people. I lived abroad for nearly 10 years. I am fluent in Norwegian and Spanish. I currently run a cultural exchange program in Marin County that sends Americans overseas. I also work as a freelance writer. I like to take a new class each semester to keep me on my toes.

Hobbies
The ocean is my favorite place. I love doing things outdoors and riding bikes. I was an excellent student and always turned in my assignments on time, which paid off in my journalism career because I work great under deadline. I was really shy as a child, but came out of my shell as a teenager. I am a definite people person and thrive in social situations. I am very trustworthy one-on-one and make people feel comfortable. I enjoy working with children as well as adults and try to be creative as possible in my lessons.
