I believe that all my students have the ability to write in a clear and effective manner, and I know they have the skills and abilities to create their own voice. I personally adapt my teaching to my student's learning style, because I feel everyone learns in a different way. I focus on improvement over the long term, while helping students to reach their goals. I have worked as a writing consultant with both graduate and undergraduate students, helping them write in a clear, persuasive manner. I also assisted them with revision as needed. I am able to work with a variety of age groups, from elementary age all the way to the graduate level. I am available to assist students in Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, American History, European History, English, Social Studies, and a variety of test prep. This includes SAT, ASPIRE, ACT, and PSAT.I am a graduate of Wheaton College, where I earned a bachelor's degree in English and Writing. I also earned a certificate in Early Church History.When I am not busy, I love to figure skate, go hiking, and do yoga.
