Experience
I've co-taught five university courses ranging from non-science interest based courses to introductory level graduate courses in the Geosciences. I also work with our outreach program in programs for first-sixth graders in basic areas of Earth Sciences. In high school I took many AP courses (US History, US Government, French, Calculus, Biology, & Physics), I received college credit for all of the exams I sat. In college, I was a summer intern for the National Science Foundation funded program Transforming Earth Science System Education where I learned how to bring my level of teaching beyond recall, to understanding. I'm happy to provide my complete resume to interested clients as well as student reviews from my teaching experience at Stanford.

Hobbies
I would love to tutor for your son or daughter! Any age, or any level! I'll help go over the material and work on study skills that will help them succeed on their own in the future. I'm particularly interested in working to further capabilities of gifted students. I'm an upbeat 20-something working hard to complete my PhD program in earthquake physics. In my spare time, I enjoy reading outside and long distance running. In high school, I played many sports and had to learn a difficult balance between being successful both on and off the field. A note on my availability: I am able to take students in San Francisco in most southern neighborhoods and in the Palo Alto area without additional charges.
