Experience
I worked as a 9th and 10th grade English teacher for the past 3 years and taught an SAT Prep course as well. I also have 8 years of experience tutoring elementary, middle school, high school, and college aged students in everything from mathematics to history. My specialty is in reading/writing/literacy/language and of course the ever important SAT Prep. I enjoy working with students and helping them find study methods that work best for their particular learning style. Often times students struggle in classes because they need more individualized attention or simply need to approach the subject in a different way. I have a friendly, down to earth rapport with my students and work to help them develop or regain academic confidence. While I am a supportive and nurturing teacher who likes to use humor and creativity in my instruction, I hold students to high, but attainable standards.
