Allison S.

Private tutor in San Francisco, CA

Education

B.A. in Mathematics from Carleton College, Summa cum Laude M.S. in Mathematics from Northwestern University

Experience

I have taught math as a tutor, teaching assistant, and primary instructor and at levels from high school geometry through linear algebra and differential equations. I choose to work as a tutor because I love talking with students one-on-one and in small groups about math and taking part in the moment when what was confusing suddenly makes sense. I have studied math at Carleton, with the Budapest Semesters in Mathematics program in Hungary, and at Northwestern, where I completed all requirements of the PhD program except my dissertation. If you are looking for a tutor for an unusual or difficult area of mathematics, I may be a good fit!
