I am a magna cum laude graduate of Tufts University in Anthropology. I obtained a Cambridge ESL teaching certification, CELTA in 2012. I have been an educator for over 10 years. My experience in education has included teaching and tutoring in public schools and after school programs. My areas of specialty are English/Language Arts and ESL. I teach and tutor English as a Second Language to students of all ages and abilities from elementary to post-graduate and professional. I also edit academic papers of all lengths, including dissertations. I would be happy to provide references from former students. I am a patient, motivating and skilled tutor and my goals are to help students meet their educational goals and to enjoy learning.
Experience
As a private ESL teacher and tutor, l have worked since 2012 with students on speaking, listening, reading comprehension and writing. I have also helped students with writing projects such as dissertations, proposals, articles, academic papers and college essays. I also coach ESL students in giving presentations. As an English/Language Arts teacher and tutor since 2006, I help students achieve grade level skills and beyond in all aspects of English including reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, grammar and English literature.

Hobbies
I love to read both fiction and nonfiction, travel, spend time in nature and write poetry. I have also volunteered as a science and nature educator and in local community organizations. As an educator, I enjoy learning about my students interests, learning strengths and challenges. My lessons always take my students' interests and uniqueness into account.
