For the past year, I've tutored my father in math, because he is going back to school to obtain a bachelor's degree. I help him basic math, mainly algebra. I want to be a tutor because I'm patient and helpful, and have strong communication skills. I'm also a very skilled writer, especially when it comes to creative writing. Although I'm an art major, I am very interested in writing, teaching good study skills, SAT prep, and math. Relevant Coursework includes: Communication and Every Day Life, which focuses on strong interpersonal relationships; Communication and Culture, Public Speaking, Rhetoric, Visual Communications, Western Art History

Hobbies
I am very creative and a visual learner, so I tend to draw out graphs, diagrams or other helpful sources in order to further the student's learning. I have over 2 years experience as a sales associate, so my customer service background has made me a better communicator. I also had a self run face and body painting business for 4 years in which I painted at various events, namely children's birthday parties. This let me express my creative side in a friendly and fun work environment. I can make studying a fun and productive experience.
