Experience
I'm extremely interested in tutoring because I think the education system fails a large portion of kids that would excel if taught the same information in a way that matches their learning style. The sad reality is that so many kids learn to equate doing poorly in school with stupidity, which leads to negative self-image in those who struggle with traditional schooling. While that is a reality, I believe it can be changed one student at a time. I always did very well in school and enthusiastically took AP classes until I transferred to a small charter school that didn't offer them. I received a score of 4 on both the English language and composition and human geography exams, as well as a 5 on the psychology exam. On the ACT, I received a score of 29.

I recently moved to San Francisco from Minneapolis, where I worked at a record store, so my interest in music has become not just a hobby but a huge part of my life.
