Experience
Experiences I have taught ESL on all levels to foreign university students and business executives in small and large groups. I have also done a good deal of one-on-one tutoring. I prefer and particularly enjoy one-on-one settings, and thus my interest in University Tutor. My background as an ESL instructor is somewhat unusual, in that I spent many years in the business community before commencing my ESL career. My success as a poet and editor are also noteworthy. Finally, I taught American literature one year in high school and a year in college. I love literature and am well-read in the world's classics, but I also keep abreast of contemporary literature, including genre fiction.

Hobbies
I have studied and continue to study French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Latin. I have published poetry in dozens of literary journals and am also an editor with a well-respected editorial service. In addition, I work with a local theater company in reading and selecting scripts from all over the country for stage production. I might add that as a lector at my local church, I receive many compliments over my public readings. Probably my ability there derives from my undergraduate work in theater. In my leisure time, I enjoy travelling, reading, and writing; going to movies, stage plays, the opera, symphony, and ballet. Lately, I've also been developing an interest in jazz and boogie-woogie!
