Virginia Tech - BS, Electrical Engineering

Experience

I tutor math from basic algebra and geometry concepts to statistics and calculus. When tutoring, I like keeping math relative to real world ideas and showing students how they can learn to use mathematics to master the world around them. Not a professional teacher, I was not a good math student in high school either. In college, math was applied to great projects from designing boats to launching rockets under the water, even controlling wind turbines. I learned the hard way. It took a long time but I want to share the things I learned and help students through extra tutoring. It does feel amazing to conquer math. I can't take away the hard work, but can make it more fun, and can help in science and electrical engineering as well. In college, I went to Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. I now live in the San Francisco area. My favorite hobbies are surfing, kayaking, and carpentry.
