I have been tutoring middle and high school students for the last three years in math, IB Biology SL and HL, IB Chemistry SL and HL, and IB Economics SL. During this time, I have also supported my students with editing and proofreading help on personal statements, college essays, and other larger academic projects. I have also taught violin and ballet intermittently throughout high school and college to elementary school-age children and younger. Hobbies
Studying neuroscience has taught me that every brain is incredibly unique in myriad ways. Often, a classroom environment is not necessarily tailored to your son or daughter's strengths. I aim to find those strengths and help students understand material in a conceptual, rather than rote, manner. I also emphasize planning skills and outlines (for subjects in which these are appropriate) in order to provide a structure for my students to learn.
