Experience
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications from Western Michigan University. I later lived in several Latin American countries experiencing interesting adventures like hiking trails of the Inca in Bolivia, horse riding across Nicaragua, and rescuing animals in Guatemala. I then lived in Mexico for three years and obtained an MA in 20th Century Mexican Literature from La Universidad Autonoma Metropolitan. My present educational work is in Integrative health Studies from CIIS where I am getting another MA degree. I have tutored foreign language studies for several years. I try to make students understand language difficulties in simple and easy to understand techniques. I find that all people want to learn more things and I believe my tutoring style helps students learn languages quicker from me than from the average language teacher. I can use experiences from my life abroad to help enhance my presentations. I love the study of nutrition and cooking. I try to cook different types of foreign foods from all over the world. Besides cooking different foods, I engage in physical exercise and especially hiking. I study economics as a side hobby. I love playing chess for mental exercise. I feel qualified to tutor in the Spanish language, culture, and literature. I can also work with students in the subjects of nutrition, philosophy, and science.
