Hobbies
My current interests are snowboarding, running, and playing the viola. As a former varsity athlete and music minor at Peabody Conservatory during my undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins, I can offer advice on balancing extracurricular activities with academic life. I believe that every student has the capacity to enjoy and succeed in math and science. Unfortunately, many students are not benefitting from the one-size-fits-all teaching method in schools. By building confidence, making lessons relevant, and addressing the needs of students as individuals, I encourage the mentee to see a troublesome academic subject in a new light. ********************************************* Availability: I live in San Francisco and commute to Stanford for school. Therefore, I am in both cities on a daily basis, including weekends-- science never sleeps! As a result, I would be happy to accommodate students in either city. *********************************************
