- ABOUT ME -
Hi, I'm Elizabeth! I'm a recent college graduate living in the Boston area, nurturing great plans to pursue a career in teaching, writing, education activism, and community development. At Amherst, I studied English and Spanish Literature, History, and Political Science, and I have a passion for helping students of all ages to develop a lifelong interest in personal expression, literature, art, and in foreign languages and cultures.
There is nothing more beautiful to me than seeing a student of any age delve further into understanding the world around them. Seldom do I feel so much joy as when I have the opportunity help a student develop the ability to articulate their own thoughts, opinions, and ideas about the world and about their own lives.
I have experience tutoring students K-6 students in ELA, ESL, and Math; in tutoring middle and high school students with learning disabilities in English Literature, Social Studies and History, and in tutoring college-level students in general essay-writing, English Literature and Dramatic Arts. Since graduating, I have also gained experience in tutoring adult learners in ESL, and have become TESOL certified.
My schedule is flexible, please contact me for more information. Thank you for your interest!
HobbiesIn my spare time, I enjoy studying foreign languages, playing my guitar, cooking, exploring the area, and writing fiction.
