Experience
One of the basic prerequisites to success is the ability to use language to convey information and persuade others. Yet even as late as college, many students have not learned to communicate with clarity, brevity or authority. I teach students to choose their words, to organize their thoughts and to tailor their arguments to specific audiences. My previous experience includes teaching children ages 7-13 to write essays in English and Social Studies, preparing competitors for debates in a variety of formats and serving as a judge in the high school mock trial setting. I am also a trained litigator whose courtroom experience has included bench and jury trials.
