I have tutored both formally and informally on all math subjects from basic mathematics to calculus. In high school, I struggled through math classes on my own without any help so I understand what it's like to struggle on a difficult subject. Because of that, I have learned to manage my study time, to figure out different ways to look at a problem, to maximize the efficiency of my study plant. I wished that I had some guidance from someone more experienced.
The reason I wanted to get into tutoring is so that someone who is struggling with their studies won't have to go through it alone like I did. The most rewarding experience from tutoring is to see my tutee "gets it," to see their faces light up because they suddenly understand a concept and I was there to help them see it.
HobbiesI enjoy photography, craft, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and cooking. I'm currently working on completing a giant granny square blanket.
I volunteer as a dog volunteer at the SF SPCA and also work part-time as an adoption counselor.
