William B.
Private tutor in San Francisco, CA
Education
I am a senior at San Francisco State University about to get my bachelors in English Literature. I have also received an associates degree in philosophy from Santa Barbara City College. I currently have a 3.8 GPA in the literature department at SFSU.
Experience
I have taken several classes on the subject of teaching in addition to my literature course work. I have a variety of writing experience between my philosophy course work and my literature course work, and have done extensive research on teaching, particularly teaching young adults. I am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Scholastic honor society as well and, despite the long distance, still an active member of the Santa Barbara City College Honor Society.

Hobbies
I enjoy writing short stories as well as essays and poetry. When not doing school work, I test my hand at the finer arts, such as painting, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that I'm a painter. I spend a lot of my free time reading and visiting museums around San Francisco, partly because of the cultural capital, but mostly because, although the times are few and far between, I learn something. With literature and philosophy, I find that there is no possibility of mastery over the subject: that the opportunities are endless. I find that the most fun and exciting part of the liberal arts.
